Before you sign up — how we use your data
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we tell you why we ask for each field:
- Name — to personalise your account and orders.
- Email — for login, order updates, receipts, and account recovery.
- Password — bcrypt-hashed; never stored in plain text.
- Phone — for delivery coordination and account recovery.
- Address — to route deliveries and calculate reachability.
- Security question — used only if you forget your password.
- For vendors: business name — displayed publicly; used for GST and payout attribution.
